Greene, who was relocating after three decades in Manhattan, recalls the first time he saw the property, which he bought in 1980. Greene's art exploits both skill and imagination, and carries on the great American tradition of narrative painting. In 2001, the Portrait Society of America presented Mr. Greene with their Medal of Honor. He is the author of "Pastel" that was in print for 25 years and "The Art of Pastel," which were published in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Chinese.
